  Awesome place, a true home away from home! We stayed in the Carriage house and enjoyed every second! The breakfast is delicious and the chef can also cook to order stuff that he has ingredients for even if those dishes are not on the menu. The room was incredibly comfortable and warm, and I really appreciated all the details and complimentary things! One piece of advice I have for the owners is to try to fix the doors that don't close well and to insulate the house further to prevent huge losses of heat in the winter; it will lower their energy costs and be better for the environment. All in all, I think the staff did a great job and we will certainly return!

  My husband & I enjoyed his birthday and our wedding anniversary here last week. James and Jill are fantastic. Their whole team are proud and hard-working, the chefs, cute girls and housekeeping/gardners alike. The accommodations (we were in Hannah Rebecca) and the grounds were very comfortable. Their daily complimentary after noon tea and scones were delicious. Breakfasts were varied and generous. We also liked the port & sherry offerings in the Library. Little touches go a long way. When we first arrived there was a little issue with our room (caused by the previous tenant). James stepped into action and quickly resolved the situation - like a real pro. Watch these two - as they are hard working and will quickly be "The Innkeepers" in the area. They sure have the winning combination!
